Hi, I hope you are well. Couple, three things Four things …
I’m doing some new writing on grief and loss that’s laced with open and relational theology as well as pscyhodynamic thinking. I think it’s the kind of thing I’ve wanted to do for years … but neither my writing nor my thinking has been strong enough. (I hesitate to say either one is strong now, but yeah, maybe strong enough.)
This new writing is a little bit edgier, off-beat, more intense than what I’ve done previously. I’m already feeling that if it doesn’t do well––jagged pill of a phrase that “do well” is––I’ll be letting the world down.
Anyhow, it’s not long, so if you are interested in reading through some of the beginning stages, please let me know. Leave a comment or email me at jonathanunderscorefoster@gmail.com. Experience has taught me that getting input from people like you is very helpful. If you’re in the KC area, I speak at Transport Brewery Monday night (20th) with my buddy Dr. Johan in Shawnee and then at the Open Table with my friend the Dr. Rev. Letiah Fraser on Sunday night (26th) at 2nd Presbyterian in Brookside. That’s right, I try and only hang out with dr’s.
I fail to pass podcast interviews on as regularly as I should. Here’s one with my friend Stuart on Snarky Faith that I enjoyed (and hey, it wasn’t snarky at all.)
Finally, thanks for participating in this newsletter publication. Currently, 555 of you. Which yes, is a nice, aesthetically pleasing number, but so is 5555, so if you know of anyone you think might benefit from artful and reasonablly intelligent theological writing … share away. :)
Okay, now, onto this week’s three minute and thirty-five second post.
Peace,
J
