I enjoyed this so much. Loved the theme weaving through of sanctuary theology vs. defensive theology, agape, Trinity. Also loved keying into the root of "salvation" as "salve"--healing--IN this world not later. Agape nondualism--and I take to heart your efforts to seek to see everyone you meet as in God's divine image. That actually came up in Sunday School this morning--talking about how can we seek to see everyone as God's images, and we said it can be as simple as choosing to engage, to be kind to strangers, etc. and then you guys talked about just that--love that confirmation! I think the thing that helped me most was John Paul's statement that we are all gonna be upset for a while--accepting that, giving myself grace to say it's normal to be upset, angry, scared, pissed, etc. with all the cruelty happening in the world right now. And the antidote is seeking community, action, resistance--and trusting that we will make it through. That what we are working for is worth it, but that it's gonna be rough. And permission to take a minute, step away when needed, no guilt for centering time, for time away. Thank you so much for all of this! I'm looking forward to the future episodes.
Loved the discussion and have ordered the book 😊 So much sanctified common sense reflection and theology. If it isn’t loving, isn’t gracious and isn’t journeying relationally then it’s not God. Thanks guys 🙏
Thank you for a wonderful conversation! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you two better.

Thank you for listening and engaging so deeply! Godspeed your ministry, especially over these next four years.
Thank YOU.
And yes to all this. I love the same theme coming up for you in Sunday School as here on Substack (the same as SS as on SS 😂)
Haven't read the book but will definitely get it, inspired by Jon's recognition of respecting the reader! X
Thank you Frances! I welcome all conversation and feedback.
