You are formative of your family, and your family is formative of you.
Contrast within family, like the interplay of light and shadow, makes for intrigue.
Your family belongs to a community of families caught up in a colossal intrigue (i.e., humanity).
Despite professional teaching to the contrary, colossal intrigue is neither worthless nor flawless; it's a complex amalgamation of problems and possibilities.
Coming to terms with this holy complexity is forward-thinking.
ABSOLUTE LIGHT (i.e., someone who's coming to fix everything) and ABSOLUTE SHADOW (i.e., the lack of someone who's never coming to fix anything) are two sides of the same non-existent coin.
This is a mess, and ...
Love is still in the mix.
Regarding your enemy:
At a certain scale, you're separate; at another scale, you’re not.
To fight someone is to overvalidate someone.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't fight; it's just, well … complicated.
Christians claiming to be outside of the problem are a big part of the problem.
There's this ancient text about woodplanks, sawdust, and eyeballs that you should read.
Being skeptical isn't the same thing as being cynical. The former is a scientific view of the world where you check assumptions at the door and wait to explore the evidence. You might have some doubts, but at least your open. The latter is a blanket assumption that the other person is immoral, dishonest, bad, or evil. Fundamentally, cynicism is a closed position.
If you're a Christian, you have already been commanded to renounce cynicism.
To be clear, I didn’t issue the command. Frankly, I'm skeptical that it'll even work.
