I had a great time talking with pediatric gastrointestinal theologian
about what the microbiome might say about metaphysics (and metaphysics about the microbiome). Not to mention prehension, panentheism, and panexperientialism and a host of other things!I hope you'll check it out, find him on Substack, and read his dissertation-turned-book, A Theology of the Microbiome: An Intersection of Divinity and the Microbial Life Within Us.
-Next week,
and I will be chatting with the one and only about 🥁… Neuro-Relational Spirituality (NRS), which is an open and relational theology fused with neuroscience, systems thinking, and liberation ethics to understand salvation—not as a doctrine or escape from the world, but as embodied wholeness-making within it. 😮 Can’t wait.-And, hey, as of now, you can pre-order my new series, A Micro Theology Series on Amazon.
Initially, the series contains four micro volumes (each entry is roughly 10,000 words, and that's including a couple thousand I repeat each time, hence … micro theology.) The goal is to help people come to the awareness, that being "biblical" doesn't necessarily mean you have to interpret things through a restrictive, closed-ended, deterministic lens. Actually, being biblical might mean expansive, open-ended, and free. How great would that be?
